DENT current transformers for metering are available in two accuracy classes: Standard Accuracy CTs provide 0.5 – 1% accuracy for general metering projects while Revenue Grade CTs (<0.2% ratio error) are ANSI-certified to provide best-in-class accuracy for revenue metering (billing) applications with the Revenue-Grade PowerScout Series meters. Choose from split core current transformers, clamp on current transformers, or Rogowski coils.

Flexible Rope Current Sensors
RōCoil | Rogowski Coil
DENT’s RōCoil line of Rogowski Coil Current Sensors offer significant advantages over conventional Split Core or Clamp-On CTs in certain installations. These flexible “rope-style” current transformers deliver installer-friendly features such as a wide current range and flexibility for mounting in tight or limiting quarters. RōCoils provide accurate, non-intrusive measurement of AC combined with easy placement around cable bundles, large bus bars, and irregularly shaped conductors.
Important Notice:
Rogowski coils are known for their accuracy and versatility in various electrical measurement applications. However, they may not perform optimally with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). This limitation arises due to the high-frequency switching nature of VFDs, which can introduce noise and distort the waveform, leading to inaccurate readings by Rogowski coils.

DENT’s 150A Split Core EZ Clamp-On Current Transformers are the fastest and most convenient way to get temporary measurements in the field. Designed for one-handed operation, they quickly clamp around insulated cables or wires.
